Our take on For The Warp
The store copy highlights the space setting, card counts, ships, and generated systems, but gives little detail about how battles or deck decisions work in practice. The premise is clearer than the moment-to-moment play structure.
What is For The Warp?
A space-set roguelike deck-building game about crossing a dangerous trade route after its nearest warp gate is destroyed.
Each run moves through procedurally generated systems containing enemies, allies, strange encounters, and ruins linked to ancient civilizations. Players collect cards, assemble a deck, and fight through the route while seeking the warp gate and delivering valuable cargo. The game includes 8 ships, 120 play cards, and 34 equipment cards, along with technologies and ships to unlock. Its presentation uses pixel art by Kirokaze and synth-pop music by Martyn Stonehouse.

For The Warp compared to similar games
Shogun Showdown also combines roguelike progression with deck-building, but places its turn-based encounters around positioning, attack tiles, combos, and a Shogun confrontation. For The Warp instead uses a space-travel structure with ships, equipment, cargo, and generated star systems.
