Our take on For Her
Rather than treating horror as a fight against an external threat, the game centers its tension on guilt, family loyalty, and the moral fallout of one decision. Its structure follows a troubled officer’s return to work and the gradual unraveling of his reality.
What is For Her?
This psychological horror game follows David Hill, a devoted husband, father, and law-enforcement officer serving in Dismas City.
On August 13, he makes a choice intended to protect his family, then must reckon with its moral cost. After a month, David resumes overnight duty by himself, burdened by remorse and the consequences reaching both his own life and the people closest to him. His commitment to his family clashes with the frightening events tied to that decision, obscuring his sense of right and wrong. The narrative unfolds through strained encounters, disturbing locations, and a steadily destabilized view of reality.
How For Her plays
- 01Moral Conflict
- The story places David’s devotion to his family against the consequences of actions that challenge his sense of right and wrong.
- 02Aftermath Narrative
- The events unfold one month after a life-changing decision, with David returning to solitary night-shift work.
- 03Psychological Horror
- The game uses guilt, disturbing events, and a fractured perception of reality as central elements of its horror.
