Our take on Adios
The setup suggests a crime thriller, but the playable structure centers on conversation, chores, and environmental exploration with the person sent to kill the farmer. The central conflict is personal and sustained rather than presented as an action-focused confrontation.
What is Adios?
Play as a Kansas pig farmer who decides to stop allowing the mob to use his pigs for disposing of bodies.
When an old friend, now a hitman, arrives with an assistant and another body, the farmer tells him the arrangement is over. The game follows their day together as they complete farm chores, explore a detailed Midwestern setting, and discuss the decision. The hitman attempts to change the farmer’s mind, while the farmer faces the possibility that refusing the mob will lead to his death. Choices in the conversation determine what happens next in this first-person narrative game about maintaining a difficult decision.
