Football Heroes Turbo combines arcade football with team progression.
In Season Mode, matches against computer-controlled opponents advance a team through a season. Players can use special attacks and movement abilities during plays, including uppercuts, kicks, tackles, and teleportation. Matches can also be played online against other teams or locally with a friend on the same screen. Games earn experience for players and the team. The Free Agency offers players to add to a roster, and training develops them and unlocks further special moves. The game includes over 280 Football Heroes, each with distinct stats and moves. Team customization includes a logo, city, name, and pre-game trash talk.
