Our take on DREAMWILD
DREAMWILD breaks up its first-person combat with safe zones that shift into pre-rendered 2D worlds. These sections replace continuous shooting with exploration, character interactions, and opportunities to make friends.
What is DREAMWILD?
DREAMWILD is a fast-paced first-person arcade game set in surreal worlds formed from the unconscious thoughts of living beings.
Players take the role of a knight from a dying world, explore the DreamWilds, and search for the source of a dark plague. Combat unfolds across multiple infinite worlds filled with strange enemies, with players trying to survive and pursue a high score. Movement involves strafing, surfing, and gaining speed to outmaneuver enemies. Weapons and tools can change the play style; the vendor gives vacuuming and cursed knights as examples. In safe zones, the game shifts to detailed pre-rendered 2D worlds, where players can explore the Dream Castle, interact with unusual characters, and make friends.
