Our take on Fly Corp
Rather than focusing on battles, territory control, or a fixed campaign, this strategy game centers on passenger movement through a player-built air network. Its pressure comes from capacity limits, route costs, and timed expansion, with scenarios and a user-created scenario editor adding alternate structures.
What is Fly Corp?
Plan an airline network linking real-world cities, adding connections and purchasing or improving aircraft.
Population size influences passenger volume, and travelers can reach destinations through stopovers when nonstop service is unavailable. Aircraft and airports both have operating limits; exceeding an airport’s capacity ends the game. The map includes nearly 200 regions and many thousands of cities, with longer connections costing more to establish. In Discover the World, territories are purchased with game funds and added to the network, with one new region required every 6 minutes. Challenge scenarios impose distinct objectives and conditions, and daily scenarios offer a rotating task. Events can disrupt or support operations. The Scenario Editor supports creating, sharing, and playing community-made scenarios.
How Fly Corp plays
- 01Passenger routing
- Travelers can make connecting journeys when a direct route is unavailable.
- 02Capacity limits
- Airport overload causes a loss, so route and hub decisions must account for airport capacity.
- 03Scenario Editor
- Players can upload scenarios to a server and play scenarios created by others.
- 04Random events
- Events range from investments to disasters that halt flights to or from territories.
