Our take on Flood of Light
Its puzzle-focused structure gives up broader role-playing freedom: progression centers on fixed levels, light abilities, collectibles, and completion targets rather than open exploration or combat systems.
What is Flood of Light?
Flood of Light follows a mysterious girl in a raincoat who arrives in a city covered by floodwater.
Players use her small light to activate lamps and stone posts, gradually reducing the rain and revealing the city. The game contains 9 chapters and more than 60 levels, with over 20 mechanics introduced across its puzzles. Solving challenges grants new light abilities for later stages. Hand-drawn 2D scenes connect the levels into a changing view of the city. Optional goals include finding every Wick, finishing stages in as few steps as possible, and waking all robots. Completing three chapter goals awards an S stage rank, while the story gradually reveals the girl's identity.
