Our take on Flock VR
The defining interaction is swinging tethered Golden Orbs to direct a flock of birds, which follows them and feeds on surrounding bugs.
What is Flock VR?
Flock is a single-player VR music video set in an ancient forest.
Players swing Golden Orbs on strings to guide a flock of birds. The birds follow the orbs and eat the bugs surrounding the player. Players can move the orbs in broad arcs, figure eights, or alternating spirals. As the bugs are eaten, the music and imagery shift through a rainbow of colors. The score was composed by Tim Fain and Julien Mier. This version adapts a multi-user, co-located VR experience that premiered at the Future of StoryTelling Festival in New York in 2016.
