Our take on Feed the Deep
Its defining structure is the repeated descent into procedurally generated undersea caves, where each expedition changes the route and combines resource gathering with oxygen management, darkness, and hostile wildlife.
What is Feed the Deep?
Feed the Deep is a Lovecraft-inspired roguelike set in procedurally generated undersea caves.
Each expedition uses a changing cave system for exploration. Players gather resources, trade them for equipment upgrades and items, and descend farther into the depths. Expeditions involve navigating dark areas, monitoring limited oxygen, and dealing with dangerous wildlife while pursuing the mission to Feed the Deep. Exploration can be fast and aggressive or slower, with markers placed along the route. The game draws inspiration from Dome Keeper and Spelunky and features an atmospheric deep-sea setting. Its soundtrack was composed by Cedar Jones, known for work including Jetpack Joyride.
