Our take on Fatermyth
Rather than centering one hero in a single setting, the game links seven characters across thousands of years. Its combat also replaces conventional attack selection with dice combinations, cards, and skills whose results shape each encounter.
What is Fatermyth?
Fatermyth combines tabletop role-playing elements with an adventure spanning thousands of years, following seven characters from different eras whose stories become connected.
The narrative reworks figures and events from Chinese mythology and history, while adding gods, human resistance, alien races, dragons, foxes, wolves, and other creatures. Combat uses dice combinations, cards, and character skills, with each throw affecting the battle. Characters have distinct combat styles and can gain higher-level skills while leveling up. Equipment can be combined into skill setups, with dozens of items offering special effects. The game also includes quests, dungeon challenges, and random events for players to discover and challenge.
