We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- VR players who want short, high-pressure missions rather than extended campaigns
- Small groups who enjoy dividing repair and resource-management tasks
- Solo players looking for a space delivery game with emergency maintenance
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking long missions or a slow, low-pressure pace may find the roughly 10-minute sessions too brief and hectic
- Players who prefer combat-focused or exploration-heavy gameplay may find the emphasis on repairs, cargo delivery, and ship upkeep narrow
- Players without VR equipment are not suited to this VR-only experience
Our take on Failspace
The defining structure is a roughly 10-minute space-delivery run in which crew members must handle different ship failures at the same time, such as extinguishing fires, repairing shields, and managing energy.
What is Failspace?
Failspace is a multiplayer VR game about operating a vulnerable spaceship through changing space hazards.
Players take cargo missions across the galaxy, handling problems such as fires, shield faults, and other malfunctions while keeping the ship moving. The game supports solo play and cooperative crews of up to four people. Crew members can divide tasks, including extinguishing fires, repairing shields, investigating failures, and managing ship resources. Stations provide supplies such as fuses and extinguishers, while onboard gadgets support repairs and emergency work. Missions are built around short sessions of roughly 10 minutes, with fast decisions and ongoing communication needed to deliver cargo and keep the space truck intact.
