Our take on Faceless
The defining detail is its indirect progression: the game leaves advancement actions unstated, making room anomalies and experimentation central to uncovering what happens next.
What is Faceless?
Faceless is a short horror game set in a city where people are disappearing.
After the woman dating the main character vanishes, he experiences sadness and anxiety before being attacked by a mysterious man. Progression does not clearly identify the actions required, so investigation involves trying different interactions and responding to unusual events in the character’s room. Some sections require running and hiding. The game includes two possible endings. The vendor also provides permission for video distribution and allows monetization through the functions of video distribution sites, with a request to include the game’s name or Steam page link.
How Faceless plays
- 01Hidden Progression
- Advancement depends on discovering what actions the game expects rather than following explicit instructions.
- 02Room Investigation
- Unusual changes in the protagonist’s room can indicate an event to investigate.
- 03Pursuit Sequences
- Certain parts of the game require fleeing from danger and finding places to conceal the protagonist.
- 04Two Endings
- The story can conclude in two different ways.
