The focus on fear, BPM, and evasion removes conventional combat from the experience. That trade-off concentrates the game on vulnerability and pressure, but leaves little room for players who expect weapon upgrades, enemy encounters, or direct control over fights.
What is Face Your Fear?
Face Your Fear is a narrative psychological horror game set in a home reshaped by supernatural activity.
Players investigate shifting, threatening surroundings, solve puzzles while under pressure, and evade creatures since fighting is not possible. The protagonist’s heart condition makes stress and beats per minute key mechanics: excessive fear may prove lethal, and prescribed medicine has to be used on schedule. Decisions determine whether to flee, conceal oneself, or face the threat. Locked windows, a nonworking phone, and increasingly severe disturbances limit escape as the player investigates the events. The game is in Pre-Alpha, with a planned format involving several stages, each featuring different monsters and gameplay mechanics.
