Our take on Evospace
The focus on factory engineering leaves out enemy encounters and deadly threats. That makes logistics and production design the main source of challenge, rather than combat or survival pressure.
What is Evospace?
Evospace is a factory-building game about expanding a chain of worlds.
Gather and process resources, research technologies, and build a portal to connect another planet. The terrain is modifiable: blocks can be dug up, moved, and built upon. Production uses linked processes for items, fluids, electricity, heat, and kinetic energy, with logic circuits and controllers to coordinate systems. Players can process ores into metals and alloys, make fuels and chemical products, and manage conditions such as pressure and temperature. Energy options include coal burners, bioreactors, solar panels, steam turbines, and nuclear reactors. There are no enemies or deadly threats; the challenge comes from factory engineering and logistics.
How Evospace plays
- 01World Terraforming
- Blocks can be moved to reshape terrain and make room for construction.
- 02Factory Automation
- Production networks can coordinate items, fluids, electricity, heat, and kinetic energy.
- 03Chemical Processing
- Making fuels, acids, solvents, and components involves pressure, temperature, and chemical reactions.
- 04Energy Sources
- Factory power can come from coal-fired units, biological reactors, solar arrays, steam-driven generators, or nuclear reactors.
- 05Technology Research
- Research gradually unlocks additional resources, machines, materials, and upgrades.
