Our take on Eville
The defining structure is the day-night split: Villagers investigate and vote in daylight, while Conspirators coordinate murders after dark, with each player receiving a random role at the start of a session.
What is Eville?
Eville is a multiplayer social-deduction game set in a village facing a series of murders.
Each session assigns players random roles on either the Villager or Conspirator side. During the day, Villagers call meetings, discuss suspects, vote, and execute them; at night, Conspirators coordinate murders and use secret routes or deception. Players can visit homes, trade with vendors, brew potions, place wards, set traps, investigate deaths, and use role-specific abilities. Proximity-based voice and text chat supports player interaction. Dead players become ghosts with abilities that can affect those still alive. Custom rules, adjustable session sizes, player customization, and automatically balanced role distribution are included.
How Eville plays
- 01Random session roles
- Each round assigns players different abilities and team objectives without revealing who is allied with whom.
- 02Day-night voting
- Villagers discuss suspects and execute chosen players by day, while Conspirators select victims after dark.
- 03Village exploration
- Players can enter homes, visit vendors, use underground routes, and interact with non-player characters.
- 04Role-specific abilities
- Available roles include investigators, trappers, seers, thieves, guards, and characters able to communicate with the dead.
- 05Ghost participation
- Eliminated players continue as ghosts with abilities that can influence living participants.
- 06Custom game rules
- Hosts can set rules for their own sessions, with role distribution adjusted to the player count.
