We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- VR shooter fans who want a campaign built around large enemy swarms
- Friends who prefer cooperative missions with class combinations and teammate rescues
- Players who want free-movement locomotion options rather than a stationary shooter
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who dislike dense projectile-heavy combat may hit a wall when enemy swarms fill the battlefield.
- Players seeking a broad range of activities may find the focus on campaign battles and Survival Mode narrow.
- Players without a VR setup are outside the game's stated VR format.
Our take on Evasion
The likely bounce point is the combat itself: players who struggle with dense projectile patterns may hit a wall when they need to dodge, find cover, and keep moving through enemy swarms. Adjustable locomotion modes offer choices, but the core battles still depend on movement.
What is Evasion?
Evasion is a VR sci-fi shooter about fighting Optera swarms in a story campaign, either alone or with a friend.
Players run, dodge, use cover, and deploy Surge Attacks while completing objectives, rescuing teammates, and responding to ambushes. Four classes—Striker, Surgeon, Engineer, and Warden—have distinct strengths, weapons, and ultimate abilities that can be combined for cooperative play. The game also includes a challenging Survival Mode and free-movement locomotion options that can be adjusted for play style and comfort. Enemy groups use swarm behavior, while destructible environments and physics feature in combat. Battles focus on intense firefights against large groups of enemies.
