Our take on Elemental Abyss 元素之渊
The fixed map provides a stable layout to learn, but gives up changing-map exploration between runs. Variation instead comes from encounters, events, characters, and card choices.
What is Elemental Abyss 元素之渊?
Elemental Abyss is a turn-based strategy game built around route choices, elemental tiles, and a deck of Essence cards.
In each encounter, a character follows a chosen route and attacks enemies along it. Crossing tiles of the same element builds that element’s power for the turn, creating a choice between strengthening an attack and targeting more enemies. Players equip Essences drawn from a deck, with 3–6 cards drawn per encounter. The Abyss map stays fixed, while adventures vary. Current content includes 3 classes and 13 characters, more than 190 Essences, more than 200 encounters, 18 normal monsters and their mutant counterparts, 9 bosses, and 36 events that can help or hinder a run.
