Our take on Eigengrau
Its defining choice is to make each stage a different arcade scenario, shifting the player between shooting, swinging, hiding, environmental rotation, space-time movement, and obstacle avoidance.
What is Eigengrau?
Eigengrau is a colorful shoot-'em-up spanning more than 50 handcrafted arcade stages, 10 bosses, and 8.
5 areas. Its stages vary the usual shooting and dodging with mechanics such as swinging around enemies, hiding in darkness, moving through space and time, rotating with the environment, and navigating obstacles. Players travel through burning mountains, frozen plains, ocean depths, and outer space while collecting mysterious ancient fragments. Difficulty and game speed can be adjusted, and a shield can be equipped. Individual stages support practice, while Classic Mode combines the full sequence. Scoring includes time limits, multipliers, optional tasks, medals, and trophies. Local co-op on one computer changes some stage interactions and lets two players support each other.
