Play it if you…
Good fit- Colony-simulation players who want survival needs such as hunger, illness, and exposure to shape settlement management
- Builders who prefer laying out shelters, homes, and defenses tile by tile
- Players drawn to post-apocalyptic settings who want environmental restoration alongside colony survival
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a purely peaceful settlement builder may find the combat, raids, and hostile wasteland central to the experience
- Players looking for a narrowly focused management game may find the mix of survival, construction, professions, research, and combat broad in scope
- Players looking for a game outside the simulation genre
Our take on Ecopunk
Rather than treating colony growth as only a matter of expanding a settlement, Ecopunk ties environmental recovery to progression through the Mother Tree. Restoring ecosystems sits alongside survival, construction, and combat as part of the colony’s development.
What is Ecopunk?
Ecopunk is a survival and colony-management simulation set after civilization’s collapse.
Keep colonists alive by growing crops, hunting, and foraging, while addressing hunger, illness, heat, and cold with remedies, shelter, and climate-control equipment. Build a settlement tile by tile, furnish it for comfort, and develop eight professions, including cooking, medicine, and weapon-making. Plant ancient seeds and offer fallen enemies to the Mother Tree to revive ecosystems and improve the climate. Mutants and rogue machines threaten the colony; encounters, raids on enemy camps, and settlement defenses involve weapons and armor that can be crafted. Research unlocks technology and improved weapons as the colony develops.
How Ecopunk plays
