Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly guided story may find the survival and exploration loop takes priority over narrative progression.

- Players looking for a single-player-only experience may not want a game built around multiplayer sessions.
Our take on BattleBeasts
The focus on survival systems and multiplayer construction leaves less room for a tightly paced, story-led experience. Progress depends on gathering materials, building outside safe zones, and exploring hazardous areas, so play centers on repeated preparation and risk rather than a defined sequence of missions.
What is BattleBeasts?
BattleBeasts is a multiplayer survival game set on Planet Shima, where hostile artificial intelligence, creatures, and robots threaten intelligent species.
Players gather materials, hunt animals, craft weapons, armor, vehicles, and bots, and build shelters outside protected zones. The island includes forests, lakes, dangerous anomalous areas, and day-and-night changes that affect exploration and resource gathering. A research system unlocks items and lets players adjust equipment properties, while a grid-based inventory organizes resources and crafting. Players can join sessions with up to 150 people, form teams, and claim territory. The game’s focus is on survival, construction, exploration, and uncovering what changed the planet’s AI.
How BattleBeasts plays
- 01Shelter Construction
- Players place structures using materials such as wood and stone, then improve the foundations, walls, doors, and roofs to prevent easy entry.
- 02Equipment Research
- Study branches unlock items and allow adjustments to properties of weapons, armor, and transportation.
- 03Environmental Threats
- Hostile creatures and robots respond to sounds, explosions, and movement, while anomalous areas pose additional risks.
- 04Large Multiplayer Sessions
- The game supports sessions with up to 150 people and includes matchmaking and saved session progress.
