Our take on EasyMMD
Rather than centering on gameplay, EasyMMD treats animated figures as scenes to view, edit, and render. Its VR mode shifts MMD presentation from a fixed screen to direct camera control and a model held on a base.
What is EasyMMD?
EasyMMD plays VMD animations on PMX, PMD, VRM, FBX, OBJ, GLB, and GLTF models without conversion, and supports Mixamo animations.
It runs on PC desktops and VR headsets, with cartoon and realistic rendering styles. Users can modify materials, adjust lighting and positions, render scenes, and export high-definition video. VR mode supports camera zoom and rotation, as well as placing a model on a base held in the user's hand. Desktop mode displays dancing characters on the desktop. Scenes can be saved as cards for switching in VR, and Steam Workshop support is included.
