Our take on Earth's Shadow
The store presentation spends substantial space on Sumbra’s history and Alexi-Ru’s crash landing, but the practical experience centers on shooting, dungeon exploration, character growth, and randomized equipment across three modes.
What is Earth's Shadow?
Set in 3081, this third-person science-fiction dungeon crawler follows Alexi-Ru, a cyborg cargo ship pilot who crash-lands on Sumbra, a remote planet linked to Earth’s distant past.
Players explore procedural and custom areas, uncover secrets from an ancient alien civilization, and use a semi-automatic weapon against the dangers they encounter. Three modes shape progression: Rogue, Adventure, and Story. Rogue play can vary between runs through random loot, while Story mode preserves progress and equipment. Character development combines role-playing elements with shooter combat, including level growth, stat building, weapons, and technology with changing modifiers. Adjustable difficulty settings support different challenge levels, and non-player characters have full voice acting.

- 05Adjustable Difficulty
