Play it if you…
Good fit- Action-adventure players who want bomb-based combat with stealth options
- Players who enjoy making and sharing custom stages
- Speedrunners who want separate rankings for campaign and community maps
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a broad weapons system may find the bomb-and-flashlight equipment too limited
- Those looking for character progression or a changing run structure may find the level-based format restrictive
- Players uninterested in creating, browsing, or competing on community maps may not use its additional content
Our take on Dynamite Jack
The bomb-and-flashlight setup gives the game a focused stealth and demolition format, but sacrifices weapon variety. Its longer-term content depends on player-made maps and speedrun competition rather than a larger equipment system.
What is Dynamite Jack?
Play as Jack, a space marine trying to escape the Anathema Mines with only bombs and a flashlight.
The top-down action-adventure combines stealth with explosive attacks against guards, scientists, cave trolls, lasers, and robotic spiders. Its campaign contains 28 levels. A built-in editor lets players make additional levels and share them with friends and other players. Shared maps are available to browse and play, including popular community creations. Each campaign level has a speedrun leaderboard, while every community map receives its own leaderboard as well. The result combines a defined escape campaign with player-created stages and timed competition. Players can choose between sneaking past guards and using bombs to destroy enemies while progressing through the mines.
