We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Two-player couch gaming groups seeking head-to-head arcade sports matches
- Arcade sports fans who want multiple named game modes and adjustable match rules
- Solo players who want CPU opponents with four difficulty levels
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a real-world sports simulation may find the Pong-and-foosball format too abstract.
- Players wanting a single fixed ruleset may find the different modes, ball types, and pickups too variable.
- Groups seeking matches for more than two players will not fit the stated two-player format.
Our take on Dudelings: Arcade Sportsball
The bounce point arrives when a group wants to add a third player: the match supports two players. Solo play continues through CPU opponents, but the central format remains a two-sided contest built around controlling one Dudeling at a time.
What is Dudelings: Arcade Sportsball?
Dudelings: Arcade Sportsball combines Pong and foosball in matches where players cycle through characters along the bottom of the playfield.
Each controlled Dudeling can jump, dash, and punch while moving the ball, defending a goal, or attacking. The game names Classic, Basket, Volley, and Pins modes, each with its own match arrangement. Custom rules include Match Point or Timed Matches, minimum ball count, default ball type, default ball size, pickup spawn rate, and enabled pickups. Ball options include a normal ball, bowling ball, beach ball, and balloon.
Pickups can add balls, alter physics, or change the ball type. There are six arenas, including five standard arenas and one unlockable arena. Single-player matches use CPU opponents with four difficulty levels. Local multiplayer supports two players, and Remote Play Together is available.
