Dryft City Kyngs combines racing, adventure, role-playing, and city exploration in a colorful 2D punk-cartoon version of near-future Melbourne.
The player starts as an office worker and pursues the title of Kyng by competing against five Dryft Lords. Races include tools for punishing opponents, while money earned from weekday office tasks funds the racing career. Outside work and competition, players can meet and help more than 35 unusual characters, visit cafes and markets, and explore nighttime locations. Vehicle customization includes installing parts and changing paint. Character appearance options include clothing, tattoos, and surgical changes. Story sequences include controlling lights for a penguin DJ, confronting a cryptid, and battling a giant robot ape.
