Our take on DROOM
DROOM replaces a fixed progression with choices that alter level, physical strength, spirit, and karma. Its separate mode also changes the usual completion structure by extending the target to level 100 and adding an ending branch.
What is DROOM?
DROOM presents an adventure built around choices while moving through rooms occupied by alien creatures.
Decisions alter the character’s level, bodily condition, spirit, and karma. Defeating an enemy advances progression, while karma reflects the likelihood of choosing to kill. Greater advancement brings more dangerous rooms and a harder route. Standard play ends upon reaching level 50. In DROOM mode, saving becomes possible after 100 turns, completion requires level 100, and an additional ending path can appear during play. This mode also adds variations absent from regular progression. Players decide how to continue as danger grows and the effects of their choices accumulate.
