Our take on Dragon Wars
The combat options allow players to adjust resolution complexity and choose tactics, but that focus leaves the game centered on turn-based encounters rather than real-time action. Its adventure also relies on a paragraph book for additional storytelling.
What is Dragon Wars?
Dragon Wars is a role-playing game about a party sailing across uncharted seas in search of Dilmun, a legendary paradise.
After King Drake outlaws magic, the party is arrested in Dilmun and sent to Purgatory, where magic becomes a means of survival. Exploration and turn-based combat shape the journey, and player decisions matter. The game includes more than 60 monsters and 65 spells. Its combat system lets players set the complexity of combat resolution, choose spell strength, and select tactics for ranged attacks. A paragraph book adds story material to the adventure.
