Our take on Down with the Ship
The defining choice is that ship construction is the battle preparation: hull pieces must be connected, and module placement determines resources, effects, and bonuses before combat begins.
What is Down with the Ship?
Down with the Ship is a strategy auto-battler centered on assembling a spaceship from connected hull pieces and equipment.
Each round presents parts such as weapons, reactors, shields, and relics; players purchase, reserve, and position them to manage resources and combine effects. Captains provide distinct hull shapes, passive abilities, and construction paths, while faction mixing supports less predictable builds. Battles resolve automatically against stored ships made by other players, with players choosing when a design is ready to fight. Ranked Versus requires 10 wins before all lives are spent, Casual Versus removes rank pressure, and Endless Run continues after 10 wins until the ship loses 5 lives.
How Down with the Ship plays
- 01Modular Ship Building
- Connected hull sections create space for weapons, reactors, shields, relics, and other modules.
- 02Captain-Based Builds
- Captains alter the hull layout, passive effects, and available construction directions.
- 03Automatic PvP Battles
- Completed ships fight stored designs created by other players without direct battle commands.
- 04Three Battle Modes
- Ranked, Casual, and Endless formats use different win and life conditions.
