Our take on DNA: Episode 2
Players who are not comfortable with demanding beat-'em-up combat may bounce off the difficulty as enemy encounters intensify. Those expecting a self-contained campaign may also stop at the episode format, since the story continues Leo’s existing journey rather than beginning with a new protagonist.
What is DNA: Episode 2?
DNA: Episode 2 continues Leo’s story as he enters Kesho City after being summoned by Chairman Sujo.
Leo, a genetically modified Nova Corp soldier, must recover an alien specimen that Kesho has used to advance its technology. The game combines hand-drawn 2D anime presentation with beat-'em-up combat and story progression across scenarios in the city. A skill tree provides new abilities during the journey. Kesho’s military sends reinforcements, including wartanks, mechas, and cyborgs, to defend the city. The episode builds on the gameplay formula of DNA Episode 1 with new enemies, additional abilities, and a stated focus on challenging combat.
