Our take on DISORDER
Rather than treating each failed run as a complete reset, DISORDER ties repeated escapes to permanent enhancements and an unfolding memory-recovery story. Its changing department store replaces the fixed route often associated with more conventional dungeon adventures.
What is DISORDER?
DISORDER is a three-dimensional roguelike dungeon adventure set inside a department store.
Players guide an amnesiac girl through successive attempts to escape while investigating the events of her past. Each run rearranges the store and its encounters. The Gift Desk provides abilities and lasting upgrades that carry into later attempts. Battles feature elaborate skills, and the story follows the protagonist as she confronts trauma and rebuilds her sense of self. Permanent improvements make the game approachable for newcomers, while its control-focused challenges also offer demanding play for experienced roguelike players.
How DISORDER plays
- 01Changing Dungeon Runs
- The department store shifts from one escape attempt to the next.
- 02Permanent Enhancements
- The Gift Desk provides abilities and lasting upgrades for future attempts.
- 03Memory-Focused Story

- 04Combat Skills
- The game features flashy abilities during its dungeon-crawling journey.
DISORDER compared to similar games
DISORDER combines changing roguelike dungeon runs, permanent enhancements, and a memory-recovery narrative. Vagante is also an unforgiving adventure through dangerous dungeons, but centers on a dark fantasy world of monsters, demons, and crooks seeking fame, riches, and power rather than DISORDER's department-store escapes and personal backstory.
