Our take on Disjunction
The emphasis on alternate approaches and lasting decisions sacrifices a single predictable route. Choices can affect factions and later events, making the experience less uniform across different playthroughs.
What is Disjunction?
Set in New York in 2048, Disjunction follows three playable characters investigating a conspiracy connected to a community leader’s arrest and the spread of a drug called Shard.
Each character has individual abilities, cybernetic upgrades, and talents. Encounters can be handled through fast lethal combat, stealth, distractions, or non-lethal takedowns. The story responds to decisions, including whether individuals are spared or killed, with consequences that can affect factions and the future of New York. Upgrade trees support different approaches by improving stealth or increasing attack lethality. The game uses stylized pixel-art environments and characters, with an atmospheric score by composer Dan Farley.
