Our take on Diorama No.3 : The Marchland
The defining detail is the invisible visitor’s ability to affect the environment, creating a perspective between observer and ghost.
What is Diorama No.3 : The Marchland?
The Marchland is the third virtual reality diorama in The Shoebox Diorama series.
It takes place at a tollbooth in a setting between the real and virtual worlds. The visitor is invisible but can interact with the environment: objects react to touch, walls can be crossed, windows can be knocked on, and plants can be disturbed. The experience also allows the visitor to sit in the rain and watch invisible cars pass by. It is presented as a place to explore and contemplate rather than as a conventional game or demo. The Marchland can be experienced as a standalone diorama.
