Our take on Dice Legacy
Dice Legacy gives up predictable control over settlement development by making rolls a central decision mechanism. That trade-off adds uncertainty to gathering, construction, and defense, while the survival structure also requires attention to population health and winter preparation.
What is Dice Legacy?
Dice Legacy combines dice management with survival city building on a mysterious ringworld.
Dice represent the settlement’s subjects, and rolls determine actions such as collecting resources, constructing buildings, expanding territory, and defending the realm. Food, ale, medicinal herbs, and winter preparations keep the population alive through illness, injury, starvation, and freezing conditions. Procedurally generated lands shape each expedition, while research, recruitment, policies, and contact with unfamiliar factions add strategic choices. Subjects can advance into roles including citizens, soldiers, priests, and merchants. Dice can also be forged together into Constructs and given special abilities. Six rulers, varied starting conditions, and hidden mysteries provide different playthroughs.
