Our take on Citystate II
The broad national scope trades focused city detail for management across economics, politics, infrastructure, and social conditions. Construction is accompanied by statistics, policy choices, and crises, while the subjective treatment of political ideologies adds a specific interpretive constraint.
What is Citystate II?
Citystate II is a nation-building simulation focused on developing cities within economic and political systems.
A nation can contain up to 64 buildable cities on maps reaching 512x512 tiles. Construction includes more than 300 building types, eight road types, railways, subways, utilities, public services, and real-scale skyscrapers. The simulation tracks unemployment, income distribution, inflation, corruption, trade balance, immigration, and population growth. Political management offers 51 policies with 204 options, plus a tool for creating custom laws. Riots, fires, plane crashes, organized crime, slums, urban decay, and bankruptcy can affect development. A flag creator and mod-ready maps provide customization. The game presents political ideologies subjectively and is intended for mature audiences.
