Rather than centering only on an individual hero, the game makes the family itself the long-term character. Marriage, inherited traits, noble relationships, and lineage progression sit alongside battles, replacing a standard single-protagonist RPG structure with generational management.
What is Dice Gambit?
Dice Gambit combines family management, character development, social relationships, and turn-based combat.
Players create a Noble Family with a distinct visual identity, arrange marriages based on skills, and raise heirs who inherit traits from their parents. Characters study at an Academy with more than 200 powers, then develop through abilities, passive effects, and statistics. Combat uses dice to control knights, combine rolls for abilities, reroll selected dice, and adjust tactics around the results. Outside battle, the family takes missions from Neo-Talis’s nobles, builds relationships, gains access to facilities and skills, and investigates the city’s secrets. Campaign modifiers can be mixed to vary each playthrough, with occasional ice-cream deliveries included among the family’s activities.

Dice Gambit compared to similar games
Dice Gambit combines turn-based dice combat with family lineage, inherited abilities, noble relationships, and campaign modifiers. Shogun Showdown also uses turn-based combat and build creation, but focuses on upgrading attack tiles, combining them, and assembling a deck before confronting the Shogun. Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew instead uses real-time stealth strategy with a pirate crew.
