The bounce point arrives when settlement growth reaches the city stage: cities offer space for large buildings but cannot mine resources. Players who expect every advanced settlement to remain self-sufficient will need to manage resource access across the wider desert.
What is Desert Kingdoms 2?
Manage a medieval desert campaign across skirmish maps generated for each game.
Claim the few available waypoints, establish settlements, collect wood, stone, iron, and other materials, then advance from hamlet to village and finally city. Growth opens additional construction options, including major projects such as Siege Workshops. Villages offer more building space and access to specialized materials, while cities accommodate the largest structures but cannot extract resources. Military forces differ in their advantages and vulnerabilities.
Settlements must be defended against hostile kingdoms and roaming hordes as rival territories are attacked and absorbed. The campaign goal is to eliminate competing rulers and control the entire desert. The clock can be stopped during busy battles or accelerated while waiting for construction and other events.
