Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a single mode may find the two distinct game modes and their separate progression unsuitable.
- Players who prefer low-pressure runs may not enjoy the choice between retreating and risking a continued attempt for greater rewards.
- Players looking for real-time action may not want a game built around deckbuilding mechanics.
Our take on Deliverance & Reign
The two modes offer different sides of the conflict, but both use deckbuilding mechanics. Deliverance focuses on choosing whether to retreat or continue through the castle, while Reign centers on placing minions across floors to stop invading heroes.
What is Deliverance & Reign?
Deliverance & Reign has two game modes with separate saves, progression, and achievements.
In Deliverance, choose a class and starting cards, then advance through four castle floors, each ending in a boss battle. At each floor’s end, retreat with collected treasures or continue for greater rewards and greater risks. Each class has its own buff, debuff, and resource. Spending too much time can bring additional enemies.
In Reign, play as Alaric, choose one of six factions, and distribute minions across three floors as invading heroes advance toward the throne. Both modes use deckbuilding mechanics and offer 15 Hell Layers as difficulty modifiers. The vendor lists 6 classes and 7 bosses for Deliverance, and 6 factions and 14 bosses across 14 battles for Reign.
