Our take on Defend the Cake
Its defining structure is the split between careful daytime maze planning and nighttime defense, when bug waves arrive and placed weapons can be powered up in real time.
What is Defend the Cake?
Defend the Cake is a tower defense game built around shaping enemy routes and timing defenses.
Place the cake castle, then use Toast Walls to create a maze for approaching insects. During the Day phase, defenses can be planned without time pressure. At Night, bug waves arrive in real time, requiring tactical power-ups for weapons such as watermelon slingshots and frosting guns. The campaign contains 18 levels, with each introducing a new enemy, plus 3 bonus levels. Six defenses are available, each with 2 upgrades. Enemies include ants, bees, rocket snails, and ants riding scooters. Score Attack adds leaderboard-focused play for testing defensive setups.
