Our take on Deathly Dangerous
The focused monster-clearing structure keeps the objective clear, but it leaves less room for narrative development or activities outside combat. Progression centers on defeating the required number of enemies in each area and receiving new weapon types between levels.
What is Deathly Dangerous?
Deathly Dangerous is a top-down action adventure and arcade shooter about hunting undead creatures.
Death takes up arms after an error leaves the undead unable to find peace. Each level places the main character in an area filled with monsters and sets a required number of victims, shown in the upper-right corner. Killing monsters lets the character collect their souls. Completing a level provides new weapon types, while further progress leads through additional locations. Enemies can attack when the character makes an awkward movement, adding danger to the shooting and movement. The game presents bright graphics and atmospheric music alongside its monster-clearing objectives.
