Our take on OveRRooT
Instead of giving the player a durable hero, the game makes Root as vulnerable as the enemies. Progress requires clearing every defense in an area, placing one-hit combat and retries at the center of its platforming structure.
What is OveRRooT?
OveRRooT is a sci-fi action platformer about Root, malware created to bypass defenses in malfunctioning computer systems.
Root enters a system to erase its cyberspace and reset it. Each area’s defenses must be wiped out before progression is possible. Enemies can be erased with one hit, but Root is just as vulnerable, so a failed attempt means trying again. Combat involves jumping, dodging attacks, deflecting bullets, and throwing a scythe. Root also has several abilities to use during combat. The game frames each new system as another job, though Root’s latest assignment may not follow the usual routine.
