Our take on Death Unphased
The game focuses on personal route refinement rather than online competition, so the absence of a leaderboard narrows its competitive scope. Its short arcade-like structure also trades campaign length for repeated attempts at improving individual level times.
What is Death Unphased?
Death Unphased is a short precision platformer built around a phase dash.
The dash passes through walls, platforms, spikes, and enemies, while phasing through dangerous objects grants an extra mid-air dash. Levels combine disappearing platforms, hovering ghosts, directional push arrows, acid spikes, and other obstacles that require observation and experimentation. Each stage records its fastest completion time, with S, A, B, and C ranks, plus secret Z-rank times. The game has no online leaderboard; its speedrunning focus is improving personal routes and times. Controls can be remapped for keyboard and controller, while screenshake can be disabled and shadows removed.
