Our take on MineRalph
The focus on fast, precise movement leaves little room for relaxed traversal. Variable speed and moving terrain make even small challenges demanding, while the story can be bypassed rather than serving as the main focus.
What is MineRalph?
MineRalph is a physics-based platformer controlled by moving a ball with the mouse.
Movement allows 360 degrees of direction, varying speeds, and interaction with moving terrain, making navigation a puzzle where standing still can be difficult. The game has a story across 33 handcrafted levels, cooperative multiplayer, secret rooms with rock puns, and 10 unlockable bonus levels described as near-impossible to beat. It uses fixed patterns rather than random ones. Timers, splits, personal-best tracking, leaderboards, achievements, medals, and skins provide goals and records for repeated play. The presentation includes retro pixel art and 11 original music tracks. Its story concerns a robot uprising, but players can also ignore the plot and focus on rolling through the levels.
