Our take on Deadly Step
Its defining detail is the real-time turn-based structure: movement and encounters combine two time systems within a top-view adventure where one mistake can cause death.
What is Deadly Step?
Deadly Step is a top-view 2D game that blends real-time and turn-based adventure with horror and sandbox features.
A hunter searches for his missing daughter across 20 stages populated by monsters and objects that reveal details about the game world. Resources can be delivered to a mysterious trader to improve skills. Random and training tasks provide rewards, while discovered objects and trophies expand the story. The chosen play style leads to one of two endings. Numerous hazards demand logical thinking, and a single mistake can cause death. The map editor supports up to 20 custom stages built with objects from the main game. Custom games can be made and shared from within the game.
