Darkness Under My Bed follows a rescue mission through a labyrinth built beneath a child’s bed.
Players operate a remotely controlled robot equipped with a small torch, travelling through corridors and narrow tunnels while documenting monsters and searching for stolen toys, souvenirs, treasures, and memories. The game divides the expedition into short missions, while allowing players to choose the order of visits. Most of the labyrinth is accessible from the beginning, with optional locations and secrets rewarding exploration.
Its environments use photographs as the basis for their visual presentation, and sound effects and ambient audio accompany the tunnels and horror scenes. The story centers on a frightened boy, a past loss, and his attempt to confront what was hidden in the labyrinth.
