Bad Dream: Purgatory is a point-and-click game set in an abandoned project, where unused characters from a cancelled game exist without purpose.
Players decide what becomes of them while exploring a surreal landscape. The game has three chapters: an introductory chapter and a simplified ending follow linear paths, while the open-world chapter is non-linear and contains secrets, achievements, and a true ending. Play either in side-scrolling mode or with a static camera. The environment is interactive, and room acoustics change how sound effects come across, including echo and muffling. The artwork uses hand-drawn illustrations. This is version 2. 0, which changes the presentation from 2. 5D to side-scrolling.
