Our take on Darker Skies: Remastered for PC
Controller-focused players may reach a sticking point in the Advanced Graphics menu, which is excluded from controller support. The game supports controllers from start to finish otherwise, so this limitation matters specifically to players who expect to navigate every menu with a controller.
What is Darker Skies: Remastered for PC?
After an alien invasion, Jack tries to restore an energy weapon so he can escape and contribute to civilization’s renewal.
This survival-horror adventure takes place across a devastated landscape inhabited by creatures changed by Red Weed, with a small number of Martians still alive. Wrecked Tripods provide components for repairing the weapon. Players can make and mix weapons and objects, choosing between evading hostile creatures and confronting them directly. The PC remaster introduces dynamic bounced lighting, reflective surfaces, soft contact shading, and detailed virtualized geometry. It also reworks progression systems, enemy behavior, character movement, and other gameplay mechanics. A controller supports the game from beginning to end; the Advanced Graphics menu remains the one exception.
