Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players looking for slow, exploratory pacing may bounce off the constant aerial combat and rapid enemy fire.
- Players wanting a short, linear campaign may find the repeated routes and multiple mission fronts too demanding.
- Players who depend on dodging every threat may hit a wall when bosses use attacks that cannot be avoided.
Our take on Dark Gravity
The bounce point arrives at the harder settings, where enemy patterns change, unfamiliar foes appear, and bosses use attacks that cannot be avoided. Players who depend on dodging every threat will also need to accept losing an extra weapon when a hit lands.
What is Dark Gravity?
Dark Gravity is a fast-paced, low-poly vertical shoot-'em-up centered on aerial combat.
Players destroy enemies, avoid projectiles with a special maneuver, collect dropped parts and blueprints, and use them to craft fighters, weapons, upgrades, and power-ups. Its campaign follows several fronts, letting players choose between different mission paths across locations such as military bases, underground factories, mines, laboratories, Arctic facilities, and unknown artifacts. Missions must be completed several times to finish all objectives. Difficulty levels change enemy layouts and firing patterns, introduce additional enemies, and add bosses unavailable on easier settings. Higher levels also provide access to the game's highest technology tier.
