Is Dangerous Land worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Strategy players who want settlement management combined with direct combat
- Players interested in medieval settings with resource gathering and unit control
- Players who want first-person involvement in both settlement management and battles
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a purely hands-off strategy game may not want to fight alongside units in first person.
- Players looking for a narrowly focused combat game may find the settlement building, resource gathering, and research systems too broad.
- Players who prefer turn-based battles may not want real-time settlement management and combat.
Our take on Dangerous Land
The emphasis on ruling a settlement and joining major battles can obscure how much of the experience involves gathering resources, finding food, upgrading buildings, conducting research, and producing arrows. Combat sits within a wider management and exploration loop.
What is Dangerous Land?
Dangerous Land combines real-time medieval settlement management with exploration and action.
As the settlement's ruler, gather 5 types of resources, search the map, collect or eat mushrooms, and find berry bushes for food. Upgrade the Town Hall, construct 8 types of buildings, produce arrows, conduct research, and protect the Town Hall from destruction. Recruit 7 types of units, issue orders, arrange formations, and fight alongside them with a sword and shield or a bow. Exploration and combat include destroying enemy camps, liberating watchtowers, and taking control of mines. Experience points support skill development, while potions and upgrades can be created for the ruler and units.
