Our take on Cuyo
Its calm, compact design limits the scope of the experience. Players get a choice between relaxed and lightly challenging play, but not the depth, scale, or intensity associated with larger platformers.
What is Cuyo?
Cuyo is a small platformer built around a relaxing presentation and two play modes.
Relax mode provides a calmer way to play, while normal mode adds a modest challenge. Movement includes wall-jumping, double-jumping, and clinging to walls, along with navigating obstacles and enemies. The challenge increases as play progresses. Cuyo is the first entry in a planned three-game series. A hidden poem is also included for players to discover.
How Cuyo plays
- 01Wall movement
- Movement options include jumping from walls, clinging to them, and performing a second jump.
- 02Two play modes
- Relax mode offers a calmer session, while normal mode introduces a small challenge.
- 03Hidden poem
- The game includes a poem concealed for players to seek out.
- 04Rising challenge
- The difficulty increases as the player progresses.
