- Players seeking a conventional single-genre game rather than a mix of player-created rules and levels
Our take on Creative Console
The emphasis is on broad creative control, but creation depends on randomly selected cards. That makes the range of choices in a given session less direct than the promise of controlling every game element might suggest.
What is Creative Console?
Creative Console lets players assemble games and levels by choosing cards that change elements such as time, characters, maps, and props.
Cards can also be used to place objects, learn skills, set difficulty, change camera angles or skins, summon enemies, and create a football match. The selected elements are combined into a playable game. Players can try games made by other community members and earn star coupons by challenging them. Stars can be spent to evolve games found in the community; evolved versions belong to the player who changes them. If other players replay or like an evolved game, its creator earns stars. Card draws are random, so the available selections shape each creation.
How Creative Console plays
- 01Card-based creation
- Randomly drawn cards let players adjust game rules and choose elements such as characters, maps, and props.
- 02Community game challenges
- Playing games created by other community members can earn star coupons.
- 03Game evolution
- Players can spend stars to modify community games, and can earn stars when others replay or like those versions.
